Logan Taylor of Talent, Oregon

On Thursday, August 18, 2022, shortly after 4:00 p.m., dispatchers received information regarding a wildland firefighter that was critically injured after being struck by a tree on the Rum Creek Fire north of Galice. This deeply saddened the entire Wildland Fire Community

While I did not personally know Mr. Logan Taylor, he was a brother and a hero. I, along with a couple of other members of the industry attended his funeral proceedings in Phoenix. I could see the sadness in his family for his passing. I remember thinking I only wish I could help them in their time of need.
